At first glance, it was difficult to recognize what the rescuers were looking at. The small figure seemed more like an old, dirty mop than a living animal. Thick layers of hardened dirt and tangled fur covered almost its entire body, hiding its features and making it difficult to see the little puppy underneath.

According to the rescue account, the mats had accumulated over more than two years. What should have been soft fur had become a heavy, compacted covering that was severely affecting the puppy’s skin. Beneath it was a tiny, emaciated body that had been hidden from view for far too long.
