Fast forward just one week, and Salmon’s life has completely transformed.

He is finally out of the hospital and resting safely at the rescue. The most beautiful update? Salmon is no longer limping. His injured leg has healed remarkably well.

The journey to heal his damaged skin will be a much longer, uphill battle.

He receives regular medicated baths to help break down the thick, calloused areas. He sometimes shivers because he lacks a warm fur coat, but he is never cold in spirit.

Salmon is going to be a long-term project, but he is worth absolutely every second of effort.

His incredibly sweet, forgiving personality is finally starting to shine through. He doesn’t hold a single grudge against the world that abandoned him.
