A Horrific Discovery Left Us Fearing The Absolute Worst

His stress levels were dangerously high when we rushed him to the clinic. He was shivering so violently that the doctors couldn’t even perform a basic blood test.

The veterinary team immediately took him into the bright examination room. They carefully assessed the heartbreaking damage to his tiny, neglected body.

• Severe bindings that deeply damaged the delicate tissue around his lower legs.
• The tragic loss of one fragile paw due to a cruel lack of circulation.
• An advanced skin infection complicated by severe mange and dangerous parasites.

The infection was incredibly severe, leaving his gums looking ghostly pale. We honestly thought we were going to have to amputate his other severely damaged leg.

Eight long days later, the deep wounds slowly started to show signs of healing. His dangerous fever finally broke as he responded beautifully to the special medications.

The dedicated vets gave him advanced treatments focused entirely on tissue regeneration. Something truly beautiful happened when he heard me softly call out his name.

He miraculously stood up and took wobbly steps directly toward my waiting arms. “Get well, be stronger, and wait for Mama,” I promised him through happy tears.

My brave baby boy seemed to draw incredible strength just from hearing my voice. He stayed at the busy clinic for a few more crucial days of observation.

A Journey To The Sanctuary Tested Our Hope Once Again

After twenty days of intensive care, I finally decided to discharge little Tres. We traveled together to Pagsanjan to continue his long treatment at Mama’s Cradle Animal Sanctuary.

I was deeply worried about the poor blood circulation in his remaining right leg. The paw was heavily swollen, and the healing process around his ankle remained incredibly slow.

“If we lose this leg, he won’t be able to stand,” I thought anxiously. I desperately hung onto the fading hope that his three remaining feet would fully heal.

I prayed every single night that his tiny body would find the strength to recover.

The Puppy Who Tasted Love Decided To Keep On Bouncing Back

Thirty-eight days later, his terrible leg injuries were finally healing remarkably well. To our absolute amazement, Tres started walking and running just like the other healthy dogs.

We certainly had bad moments filled with unexpected stomach issues and deep physical pain. But this incredibly resilient puppy simply kept on fighting to overcome every single obstacle.

He just wanted to be loved and to show his immense gratitude in return. Once he had a small taste of true happiness, he just kept bouncing back to life.

Tres will stay with us forever at the peaceful sanctuary where he is completely safe. He will spend the rest of his days being endlessly loved and perfectly protected.
